Regional College of Health Sciences

Regional College of Health Sciences (RCHS) is an Allied Health College established in the year 2021, primarily in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology. The college is promoted by North East Regional Trust, Guwahati a registered trust under the Indian Trust Act 1882, and was proudly founded in the year 2020 with the sole objective to promote education in the field of Allied health sciences. Keeping the main objective the Regional College of Health Sciences (RCHS) started by the trust. The college aims at quality education, training, and research in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology. Medical Laboratory Science is an important subject in the field of Medicine. In each system of Medicine, diagnosis of the disease is the primary step. No treatment is possible without a proper diagnosis. It is the Medical Laboratory Technocrat, who performs this important task with various scientific tools and techniques.

Classroom facilities:

The institute has organized spacious audio-visual classrooms in peaceful environments with comfortable seating capacities well equipped with LCD projectors and whiteboards, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms with properly ventilated with sufficient natural light. 

 

Laboratory facilities:

A national standard well-equipped laboratory facility is the unique characteristic of the Institute. The laboratory is well-equipped with a minimum number of equipment, apparatus, glassware, and plastic ware for the smooth running of practicals of courses according to the specified curriculum of the university.

 

Library facilities:

The library contains all the books specific to the program and based on the curriculum. The standard books are universally followed for medical programs and also program-specific books are available for reference and also to borrow by students for specific times. The library works on all days except Sundays and holidays. 

 

Cafeteria cum stationary shop:

A cafeteria is attached to the campus for the students for refreshments during off periods.

 

Hostel facilities:

Separate boys' and girls' hostel facilities are available at the closest proximity to the college campus.
